Engagement of services

Use of this website does not create a client relationship. A formal engagement begins only after both parties agree to the scope, fees, and terms of service, typically documented in a separate engagement letter.

Fees and payment

Fees are flat-rate, hourly, or project-based depending on the engagement, and are communicated and agreed to before work begins. Invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Client responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information and documents. We rely on the information you provide to prepare returns and financials and are not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information.

No guarantee of outcome

While we apply professional judgment and current tax law to every engagement, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as refund amounts, audit results, or tax savings.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by California law.
